Driving Success
At Theia Health, I laid the design foundation as the first product designer, created the design system, style tokens, and UI framework to unify product and marketing experiences. I reshaped navigation and wayfinding to resolve major usability issues, earning positive validation from providers, and designed data visualizations and infographics that improved how health metrics were understood and utilized. I also prototyped AI-powered features that analyzed glucose and meal data to generate macro/micronutrient insights. Through cross-functional collaboration and user research, I ensured the product evolved in close alignment with provider needs and usability goals.
At Databook, I effectively decomposed complex problems into manageable tasks, enabling my team to grasp the full scope of the challenges. This included leading the development of a new notifications system and integrating insights with Slack, which resulted in a 20% improvement in user engagement and a 24% adoption rate of integrated features. By thoroughly researching and documenting the problem space, I instilled confidence in our ability to deliver innovative solutions. I successfully delivered on time the MVP1 as well as the long term vision being able to provide scalable solutions.
At Billups, where I served as the sole full-stack designer and owner, I contributed to the development of a new ecosystem comprising two platforms and a novel design system built from the ground up utilizing Material UI. This involved navigating a traditional industry with limited digitalization and ensuring solutions were both innovative and scalable. Collaborating with the Director of Product, we defined product areas and their functions, then translated these into intuitive user experiences that empowered Planners to create superior proposals more efficiently, driving faster deal closures. There was a large amount of user data and tasks involved in creating the new ecosystem. This created a huge impact since the team departure from the legacy system and paved the way for making this vision a reality.
Online Workshop: UX Skills
In my spare time, I conducted an online workshop for over 30+ designers focused on UX skills throughout various stages of the design process.
The goal was to learn what strengths and weaknesses other designers have when going through the design process.
The event was a great success and garnered fantastic feedback from attendees.
What I Can Do
End-to-End Design: Lead the entire product design process from concept to completion, ensuring seamless integration and user experience across the entire platform as I did in Notifications and integrations for Databook as well as the creation of the ecosystem at Billups.
Problem-solving: Simplify complex issues by dividing large problems into smaller, more manageable components.
User Research: Conduct user research to uncover deep insights into user needs and behaviors. Transform these insights into engaging design solutions that both delight users and meet business goals.
UX Strategy: Own and drive the design strategy and optimization of processes in the production lifecycle including balancing business and user needs, forecasting, planning, scoping, design reviews, early testing and delivery.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure design alignment with business objectives and technical feasibility. When Billups acquired a team in Russia, I proactively approached the team with documentation and suggesting process improvements.
